HUMAN RESOURCES
Human Resources Department

The Human Resources Department aims to provide full range support to the operations of the organization. Its thrust is to be at the forefront in promoting a culture of discipline, inculcation of acceptable values in the organization, upholding of superior work performance, and continuous development of all employees through catering and maximizing their full potentials. The Human Resources acts as the focal point in addressing the needs and concerns of the human capital of the Company and works side by side with the Talent Acquisition Department and the Training and Quality Assurance Department in acquiring, maintaining, and developing the work force of the organization.

 

Among the mandates of the Human Resources include continuously devising or finding ways to retain quality employees through implementation of the latest retention programs which consist of advancement, salaries and benefits management, among other forms of motivation and incentive programs in order to keep these employees satisfied with their jobs. The department ensures compliance of the Company to the Labor Laws and standards to minimize if not to avoid liability while at the same time caters for employees an avenue to lodge their issues and concerns about their working environment or interactions with all levels of the organization. The Human Resources translates and interprets the policies of the Company in a manner that is understandable to the peoples of the organization while at the same time propels up to date modification to these as deemed appropriate in order to meet the goals and objectives of the Company.

In the farthest foresight, the Human Resources regards to gear the Company in presenting, adding, and fulfilling a next higher level mission, that is, to actively participate in the society as a socially responsible corporation of this nation.

FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION
Finance and Admin

The Finance and Administration department is composed of highly responsible personnel who are tasked with the functions of; accounting, budgeting, financial planning and reporting, cash management, purchasing, information services, and related administrative support services.

 

The department is at the forefront in developing plans as well as setting goals and objectives for the company – wide finance and administration mainly the monitoring, reviewing, and evaluation of financial results. At the same time, the department also oversees the day – to – day financial activities such as; managing the preparation of financial records and ensures that the purchasing of materials and other equipment are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as cash management, investment, and debt management activities.

 

From a strategic standpoint, the Finance and Administration department provides responsible advice and counsel to the Executive Committee as well as various operational departments on a variety of financial and administrative issues. In line with ensuring that financial resources are adequate to meet the needs of the organization, the department also conducts financial reviews as well as the preparation of annual budget requests.

TRAINING AND QUALITY ASSURANCE
Training and Quality Assurance

Training is one of the two core functions of the department. The aviation industry being one of the most heavily regulated industries in terms of standards for safety and security, rely a lot on well-trained staff who are able to perform functions related to the four major operational departments that comprise the Ground Handling Operations of PAGSS. The Major aspects that comprise the training programs consists of; Basic Training, Licensure / Recurrent Courses, and Developmental Programs. These three aspects form the core of the organization’s people development program aimed at continuously enhancing the key competencies for every function and staff.

 

Quality Assurance looks at how PAGSS is able to comply with standards set forth by airlines and governing bodies. TQAD is at the lead in implementing the company’s Quality Management System, which aims to ensure that all functions being performed are at par with the best practices in the industry.

RECRUITMENT
Recruitment

The Recruitment Department is mainly responsible in providing qualified individuals who will match with the job specifications and qualifications of actual and anticipated vacant positions within the organization, passing thru various progressive stages from: identifying vacancies, sourcing potential applicants, screening, giving aptitude, trade tests; and conducting a series of interviews.

 

The department plays a very pivotal role in the organization as it is tasked with a ‘gatekeeper’ role; recruiting people to fill in vacancies within the organization.

 

Recruitment activities are being done all year-round. The Department ensures that it maintains a strong network with various organizations and communities, partner schools, universities and agencies as well.
