Operations is the heart of the matter. Our operational departments ensure that day-to-day airline operations are handled in an efficient manner.

 

Apart from this, the most important thrust of operations is to ensure that all tasks and processes are done in a safe and secure manner.

 

Safety and security are our utmost concerns and will always remain as the top priority in all flights.

PASSENGER
LoungePassenger Group

Our Passenger Handling operations is handled by our Customer Services Passenger Department. Some of the services we offer are:

  • Passenger check-in
  • Support for Special Passengers (VIPs, unaccompanied minors, wheelchair passengers, and other passengers with special needs)
  • Ticket Sales and Reservations
  • Baggage check-in and through check
  • Specialized services (i.e. multilingual agents)
  • Arrival and Transit services
  • Lost and found; Baggage settlement services
  • Gate and boarding services
  • Passenger and VIP Lounge Services

We provide a separate lounge service for airlines who are looking to provide lounges for their first and business class passengers.

Operations Services Ramp (OSR) oversees our Flight Operations composed mainly of:

 

Load Control

 

Load Control Planning is a specialized field of ground handling that is closely linked to aircraft safety. Our weight and balance agents are highly-trained and are kept updated with the latest rules and regulations of aircraft handling in order to prepare accurate and precise load sheets and loading instructions. We also prepare and make data available to your crew members to help them arrive at important and highly-critical flight related decisions.

 

Load Control includes:

  • Preparation of manual or EDP load sheets
  • Load planning
  • Flight dispatch assistance
  • Basic meteorological data
  • Flight communications (VHF radio)
  • Emergency procedures

Our PAGSS Load Control personnel are duly licensed and certified to handle major aircrafts such as:

  • Boeing 747
  • Boeing 747 - Freighter
  • Boeing 777
  • Boeing 767
  • Airbus 340
  • Airbus 330
  • Airbus 320
  • Airbus 319
  • Airbus 321

 

Flight Dispatch

 

Flight Dispatch executes Flight Release of clients’ flights, both scheduled and non-scheduled, in accordance with the clients’ company operations policy and flight operations management’s instruction. It supplies the pilots with pertinent information necessary for the safe conduct of the flight (within appropriate means while in flight).

Our Operations Services Ramp (OSR) and our Operations Services Maintenance (OSM) oversee our below-the-wing operations namely:

  • Aircraft loading and unloading
  • Ground support equipment (GPU, ACU, ASU)
  • Aircraft towing and Push back
  • Water and lavatory services
  • Line maintenance assistance
  • Fueling
  • Aircraft Cabin and Exterior cleaning

Our potable water is processed within our complex and is duly certified by the local health authorities.

LINE AND EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE
Line and Equipment MaintenanceOperations Services Maintenance

Vital flight - related equipment is located in our Equipment Maintenance Center which is also housed within the PAIR-PAGS complex. We likewise maintain our own Tool Room, Spare Parts Room and Equipment Repair and Maintenance area.

 

In Addition, the center also has an area for the repair of non-motorized equipment.

 

All maintenance records are computerized for easy access and updating.

CARGO AND MAIL HANDLING
Cargo and Mail HandlingCargo and Mail Handling

Cargo and Mail handling commences from our Cargo acceptance facilities located within the PAIR-PAGS Complex. The scope of our functions during cargo and mail handling are as follows:

  • Cargo acceptance and Build-up
  • Cargo and Mail documentation
  • Cargo warehouse and storage
  • Special storage (Cold/Frozen goods, Dangerous goods, and special livestock)
  • ULD Handling and control

To ensure the safety and security of all cargo that is accepted and loaded to the aircraft, we ensure that all our personnel receive the relevant training and licenses to perform safety and security functions.

 

Our PAGSS Cargo Handling personnel are duly licensed to handle Dangerous Goods Cargo, while our X-Ray screening personnel are duly certified by the Civil Aviation Security Bureau of the Philippines.

 

In addition, we are awaiting the release of our Dangerous Goods Accreditation to be issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP). PAGSS will be the first ground handler to receive such accreditation by our local civil aviation authorities. What this means is that our warehouses and our Dangerous Goods training program are deemed certified and safe.
